Description
We have addressed another common trouble point on Seeburg jukeboxes (models B through PFEAU1) – the mechanical cut-off trip microswitch and bias spring. Our electronic board uses a photo interrupter “eye”, eliminating the microswitch and bias spring.
Adjustment is extremely simple – just flip the switch to “Align” mode and play a record. Move the tone arm to the lead-out groove on the record, and adjust the bracket so the LED illuminates, indicating the trip point. Flip the switch to “Run” position, and you’re done!
This also resolves a situation that comes up with newer, lighter tracking needles. Since the amount of force available to overcome the resistance of the microswitch is even less, this can lead to “kick-back” where the tone arm skips back towards the center of the record as it nears the end of the record. Since there is no force to overcome, this is no longer an issue.
