In honor of Armand, ten years after his passing, the never-before-released single “De Vrije Ark” is finally being unveiled, as a special tribute to one of the Netherlands’ most iconic protest singers.
Armand wrote De Vrije Ark for the travelers’ network NAR (Netwerk Alternatieve Reizigers), of which he was an honorary member. The recording remained hidden in the archives for many years and has now been carefully restored and remastered, finally heard as Armand intended.
On the B-side, you’ll find De Vrije Ark in a unique spoken word version by Armand and Cor Penders (former chairman of NAR), a rare collaboration where poetry, freedom, and awareness come together, capturing a time when music still carried a message.
This release is limited to only 500 copies on classic black 7”-vinyl
